So I will never be the person to rail against religion for not letting me marry the man of my dreams in a church. The doctrine of marriage has evolved from a Judeo-Christian background and is now backed by the power of law. As a 'man of faith,' I believe that marriage is a sacred union between a man and a woman. It was through a lot of study and reflection that I was able to rationalize those adversarial notions. I struggle with that dichotomy all the time.
